Roy and Chon have woken up in a barren warehouse in New York. Confused by their surroundings, they figure out that they have time travelled to the future, from 1887 to 2009. The two partners (Roy-Chon, Inspector Lee-Carter) spot each other walking the streets, amazed at how strikingly similar Chon and Lee look, and after hearing about Lee’s recent dreams of the warehouse and seeing himself with Roy, they all decide that their meeting is more then a simple coincidence, and that they must work together to find the reason behind their peculiar circumstance. It is a phone call from Isabella (Lees girlfriend), detailing a bombing at Haven pharmaceuticals that ropes them into investigating Julie Tan and her fiancĂ© Rathborne (an English MP). The men later recognize Julie as Hu-li – partner to Ricky Tan who killed Lee’s father, and Rathborne as the man who murdered Chons father. The men focus in on Julie and Rathborne, and end up following men into a room where they are greeted by Robert Delvane and Xio Lao, leaders of the triad who had been waiting for them to arrive. He details his affiliation with the Hellfire Club – here both he and Xio dabbled in black magic and early science, here they discovered the secret to time travel, and immortality. They gifted these abilities to Rathborne and Hu-li, and have now regretted their decision having learnt of Rathborne and Hu-li plan to overturn order. The fan fic ends with Delvane proposing an exchange; if the men are able to capture Rathborne and Hu-li, he will give Lee and Carter information on other Triad associates, to Chon and Roy he will transport them back in time.
Being a Rush Hour fan, I really enjoyed reading this piece of fan-fiction. I liked how the writer tried to keep the personalities of the four main characters intact. In using two movies starring Jackie Chan, and bringing both his characters to the forefront of the plot – meeting each other, added mystery, humor and confusion, a clever way in creating suspense.

It is the opening night of the newly converted Moulin Rouge; the show starts with a bang and ends with Satine collapsing to the ground as the curtain falls. Although very weak and fragile, she is still alive, and Christian carries her in his arms to his garret. The crazy bohemians upstairs are up to their old tricks, and once again the Argentinean falls through the floorboards and into Christian's room. Through the ceiling Toulouse yells an apology and offers an invitation for the two to come upstairs and join them for dinner, he made Christians favorite 'skiwmp kabobs', there was no other choice but to accept. In the meantime, Christian is distraught, he has no money, he sold his typewriter, and he realizes that he has nothing of value to offer Satine, and that without her he'd rather jump to his death then live on. Already satisfied in just being able to be with her love, she gives Christian hope, hope in that everything will work out fine. He will find a typewriter and with it not only save himself but save their beloved Moulin Rouge. They share a passionate kiss and start undressing each other, both eager to savor one another, however with Toulouse yelling through the ceiling that 'dinnew is weady', they put their love making on hold to dine with their friends waiting above.
I always wondered what could have happened if Satine had lived on, and this fan-fiction gives us the happy ending we romantics longed for. The fan-fic is a testament to the movies famous line 'the greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and be loved in return'.
Kathleen Kelly finally meets her online pen-pal who to her delight is the man who put her out of business, the man she was starting to fall in love with: Joe Fox. After sharing a kiss, and tears, Joe Fox reassures her she does not need to cry anymore, 'Joe Fox is here'. In reply she joked 'Mr NY152, 152 days of not knowing it was you'. He just grinned. They walked off through the gardens, spending the perfect day together.
I love 'You've Got Mail', and this addition to the ending is perfect. The line 'Mr NY152, 152 days of not knowing you' is brilliant. A segment in the movie shows Kathleen trying to find out the meaning behind her pen-pals username 'Mr NY152', and Joe Fox taunting her with silly absurd suggestions. Also the fact that early in the movie Joe comes to know the identity of his pen-pal, enabling him to gain an insight on Kathleen personality and character, and use this knowledge as a weapon for his own entertainment, it is nice to see in this fan-fiction at least, that Kathleen has the last say, the final comeback.
Boo is now 20 years old, sitting at her desk scribbling drawings of friendly monsters, reminiscing of her own childhood monster, her friend Sulley. She missed him dearly. She missed Monstropolis. That night as she drifted off to sleep, she got an unexpected visit. Walking through her closet doors was Sulley holding his newborn son Lukas in his hands. 'I want you to look after him and take care of him' he asked of her. After hearing Sulley explain his reasons that Lukas mother died in childbirth, and because of his work commitment as CEO the authorities would be quick to take his son. Taking Lukas from Sulley, Boo obliged.
This fan-fiction tells the true meaning of friendship, in the light of hardships and difficult situations, having a friend you can depend on is worth more then anything in the world. Also those friendships can be found with unimaginable others, human or not. Lol
This fan-fic tells what happened the night Jenny and Forrest Gump slept together, the feelings she felt for Gump, a little explanation to why she left him the morning after, and where she was headed to. Having grown up with a monster as a father, and a past she was not particularly proud of...sex, drugs and alcohol, Jenny only ever felt safe and loved by one person: Forrest Gump. However because she knew how broken she was she 'couldn’t stay with him, because she loved him too much'. To spare him the trouble of loving her, she ran. First from his bed to a cab, the cab took her to the train-station that carried her across country to her only known relative, her father’s sister Aunt Irene. She never planned out anything in her life before, she took chances. here she was again, hoping her Aunt would be understanding and let her in. Luck played out, and she was welcome to stay with Aunt Irene for as long as needed.
This fan-fiction paints a sad portrait of Jenny, sexually abused by her alcoholic father she goes through life living life on the edge, not able to trust anyone she drowns her past with drugs. What’s more sad is that when she realizes her love for Forest, she does not even trust herself to love him. She is always on the run; running away from bad influences and experiences but also running away from the even scarier thought that life could be simply beautiful.
Anna opens the door to a crowd of paparazzi, dressed in nothing but her lovers shirt. She could imagine the headlines in tomorrows paper 'Married actress sleeps with local bookstore owner, following the release of her nude photos'. What was she thinking! Away from the noise and cameras, all she could think of was William, no matter how hard she tried not to. He could not have done this to her, he did not have it in him..or was this the curse of Gilda, Rita Hayworth used to say 'they go to bed with Gilda and dont like it when they wake up with me'.
This fan-fiction is an extension to the movie, it gives an introspective look into the character of Anna. Regardless of the fame, the decisions she makes, the emotions she feels are just the same as anyone else. Some people may think, that life comes easy to those who are famous, this movie as well as this fan-fiction show that this belief is not so, especially when it comes to matters of the heart.
This fan-fiction gives an intimate look into the character of Sarabi and her friendship with Mufasa. Their relationship as cubs heading into adulthood when compared to Simba's relationship with Nala in the movie 'Lion King' is exactly the same. Mufasa leads Sarabi to the elephant graveyard, just as Simba did with Nala. The fact that both future kings as cubs put not only themselves but also their "lady"-friend in danger, emphasizes that their thought of chain came from just being young; curious and unable to properly evaluate danger. Their nature was not evil-spirited like that of Mufasas brother Scar (Taka - in the fan-fiction). I thought it was interesting to see that by focusing in on one minor character Sarabi, the author in turn gave a deeper insight to the main characters in Lion King.
Three years after they last saw each other, Baby cant believe Johnny is finally coming to pay her a visit. He had taught her so much, not only how to dirty dance, but he made her a woman. He walked through her door with a question for her, he wanted her hand in marriage. Throughout history, the greatest love stories are those that leave us wanting more, they are cut short, brief engagements. Baby and Johnny are the modern Romeo and Juliet, it was nice to see an alternative ending that allows them to take that chance in loving each other as man and wife. There is this belief that brief romances have more intensity and heat, and maybe so, but in this fan-fiction however cliche it may be its nice to have the happily ever after ending.

This fan-fiction was touching. It was dedicated to the actor who played Mr Miyagi in "The Karate Kid" series, Mr Noriyuki 'Pat' Morita. Daniel LaRusso and Julie Pierce, two former karate students of Mr Miyagi gather with other friends and family to pay their respects and say farewell to their beloved friend, their teacher Mr Miyagi. Daniel and Julie reminisce about their time with Miyagi, laughing about his crazy teaching techniques and how he made them both learn the 'wax on, wax off' technique. Its obvious to see that people get attached to certain characters, and when the actor or actress passes away, this sense of loss is felt. Writing a piece of fan-fiction and putting it out there for others to read is a way not only to express their grief but also show respect to the movie and the man, beautiful thought.

Love at first sight? This was not the case for Jane and Kevin, however their love story is just as sweet. Having grown up with a love for wedding ceremonies and all that it represented, the wedding column in the newspaper was Janes guilty obsession. She had an album made for it and cut out every article in the column, 'each one placed in a special sheet protector'. Kevin walked into her life, a cynic of love, who could not understand her obsession, and dedication to being part of so many weddings, a bridesmaid in 27 to say the least! No matter how much she despised him, she later found out he was the author of her dreams...the reporter writing the wedding column, who made her believe in fairytales and happy endings, and that love is magic. Now they are happily married, and looking at the album he finds it amusing and heartwarming that he married his number one fan. Before he met her, he just wrote about love, now with her by his side he believed in it.
